Do you let people borrow your Evo?
I let my wife drive it anytime she wants to, of course. Any relatives or friends who are somewhat competent are welcome, as well. I'm also teaching my almost-16-yr-old daughter how to drive in the Evo. She loves the car, even though she admits that it's not the easiest to drive (stiff and unforgiving clutch). In fact, she will most likely be driving the Evo exclusively once she gets her license. She's very mature and cautious, so I have no worries. I'll stick with my 06 Corolla as my commute car. She'll be the envy of her friends and I'll just be happy with 40 mpg.
^WOW! Not only are you teaching her to drive in it but she's getting the Evo at 16?! Meanwhile your in a Corolla!? I have no doubt she IS mature and cautious but you can't deny that when you are learning to drive a car you always have those moments of lapses in judgement. It's almost a part of the learning process, and i'm surprised you trust her enough to avoid those bad situations in an Evo.
She will definitely be the envy of her friends... but Dad in the corolla and teenage girl in the Evo doesn't seem to make sense!

My woman drives mine to get dinner a couple of times per week (gotta let her drive it sometimes, after all she allowed me to buy it LOL), but nobody else gets to drive it. And when she comes home, I run to the door to watch her pull up to the house and hear the car, because I never get to see it in motion since I'm always driving it LOL...
...so the wife asks me the other day "hunnie, i'm allowed to drive the Evo aren't I", and I looked into her eyes with all the love i could and told her in a soft and loving voice "that's a long and lonely road that you don't want to take a trip down...

I've let a few close friends drive it with me in the car. The only person I'd let the Evo out alone with would be my brother.
But hes got a 650HP 911 Turbo, so he's not really interested in driving a stock Evo.
