I use stock fluids for all the gears. Tried going with Redline, but had shifting issues so switched everything back.

I am a die-hard Amsoil fan when it comes to engines. However, I was using Amsoil and changed it every 8k or so (WAY less than recommended), and lost a crankshaft journal on the #1 cylinder and had the motor replaced.

My opinion = the EVO beats up oil so change it often. I now use Mobil 1 and change it every track day or 3k, whichever comes first. No problems since!

 

i was using royal purple and changing it every 1k miles, but now w/ the amsoil ill do it every 2k, or least try not to do it every 1k.
