I wonder how many of these "$70k" Evo owners are actually telling the truth, though.

 

I can believe it. You can only do so much to the car before it starts getting insanely expensive to get that higher trap, lower ET, faster spool, etc.

Also, I saw at least one post where the person mentioned they chose the wrong routes for upgrades so they had to start over in some cases.

 

enough to pay my car off. man modding gets expensive but well worth it.

 

i spent $400 for intake, BC, fuel pump, tune.

 

I probably have ~$5K in mods: lightweight wheels, 2-piece rotors, TBE, Bilsteins, F/R anti-swaybars, a very good stereo, and a bunch of small stuff like a MBC, WB, brake cooling ducts, ect.

 

So far around $7000 AUD in two months hehe

 

including tuning i'd say close to about 10k.

 

I guess when you drive an Evo XI the above is all you need!

 

I'm up to about $7500 in parts with nothing installed yet. I'm estimating $15k to get the car to where I want it.

It's certainly possible since I might hit low 50's. If you buy a new car and have new parts professionally installed then it really adds up. To get to 70's would be no problem if you had the block professionally rebuilt, got a Shep trans, added some carbon fiber, etc.

Lowering springs, BOV, intake, boost controller, wideband, test pipe, tune, boost gauge it ended up coming out to about $1200. I like it much more than I did before the mods we will put it that way lol.

 

Tooo much , my wife and kids left me and getting put out in the street I'm forced to live and sleep in the evo in back seat with the the cage

 

I have the receipts to back it up. This was taken a few months ago. So it's a bit bigger now also.
