I have an 8 RS and a IX RS. There are not many IX RS's. Possible there are more on the west coast than east. Seems they produced some at the start of the 06 model year. Then not again all the way till the next spring. After ordering, I had to wait a long time for my RS to be built. Mine was built near the end of normal production in July, before the SE's were all built. As well as the 07 IX's they made in limited numbers for other countrys. Wonder how many that was. Have to remember the plant shut down sometime in August of 06. That number for US IX MR's seems high. Wow thats a lot of 6 speed cars.

When I bought my white RS in Feb '06, I was told there were 2 on the east coast, one in York, PA and another in FL. I had to wait for RS to be DX'd from York.

How about a color breakdown of the GSR models? I have an Electric Blue and they seem to be rare...I also have the SSL package (hopefully one day it will be: sound, carbon-kevlar roof, and leather).

^^ if you own an evo ... its rare! any way you look at it, its a limited production car...

and electric blue is a pretty common color for IX's here in cali... although GG and TB dominate the scene..... honestly, the colors i see the least of are AS and RR... RR especially.... (and im not trying to say the RR ARE the rarest, just that i dont ever see any, compared to the dozens of every other color i see)

and 358 sounds right to me...for race cars, most comanies buy used evo 8's and build them because they are cheaper... out of all the race evos i see in mags, only a few were evo 9 rs'.. even though it seems the logical choice for a starting platform....

The eclipse wasn't a flop its a dsm car (it was sold only in the usa) and in 1992 it was a better way to market the 4g63 as oppose to bringing the evo II here. The evo is a world car and all evos are built and assembled in japan. Evos never flop, they get better and better.

I really cant look at an evo as rare since ive seen all I-IX, I'll just say its a very limited car

Good post!
doubt this will help resale. we have cars, not priceless antiques. cars drop in value no matter what. the only cars that hold value are ones with concrete reliability, like a honduh or yota...
