Dealership just offered me a "deal"....
YOu said they are giving you 22k for your car right? and you owe 14k? so that means you will have an extra 8k after that. are you using that money in the deal or are you keeping it? I just dont see how you coming up with 9k of your own money on this car and its still 29k. LOL, my brain hurts.
If you want the car, do like I have been saying. Walk into the dealer ship, tell them point blank, "If you can get to a 450 payment, keep the same % rate & term, with me not coming out of pocket any additional money, we have a deal."
If they get you to the 450 payment, you would only be financing 25200

Lol, i already asked them for a direct trade, they didnt go for that
I just worked that out on my financial calculator and your payment would be $611.26/mo so you probably have that amount wrong.
Financing $24K @ 7.2% would be a payment of 505.86/mo. so $24K + $9K cash +trade = $33,000 sale price (not a bad deal but not great)
That or your getting screwed.
If they give you $22K and you owe $14K at maximum you should be financing $27K with $0 down at full MSRP.
Sounds like a bad deal to me $37K for a car that has almost 2 years of depreciation when you drive it off the lot.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a new one unless I got a SMOKIN deal at this point. The thing is 2 model years old with the redesigned replacement a couple months away. In other words, you are taking a HUGE hit when you drive it off the lot so that needs to be factored in.

i dont think your getting a good deal man! you said you still owe 14k on your evo 8 right! and you said they will give you evo9 for 29k.... 29k-14k = 15k. So you mean they are just selling the evo 9 for 15k? i am telling you...what ever you owe they will add that to whatever car your buying! You just didn't understand them! DON"T GET IT!
New cars aren't all they are cracked up to be...
It looks like you are paying full price, the year they came out, for that one. If they can give it to you for ~32k - your 8k (don't put 1k down, its pointless) I would do it, so 24-25k for the loan. Offer them that and walk
the car is worth 33k, even though it is "new" its still a year old
oh, and props for checking first, I wish I did that when I bought my last car, I got royally screwed on that deal lol. But I traded that car for a screamin deal on an 05

There are so many factors missing on this deal that we need to know that I can not even tell you if you are getting a good deal or not. Sounds to me like they are playing with the numbers to confuse you and you are not getting a good deal.
