HIDs aimed too low?
Has anyone else been able to do adjust the headlights? I was going to attempt to try it today at a friends house and was just curious if anyone had any other info worth mentioning.
Maybe a step-by-step guide?

I am completely lost here.. Sorry for opening up an old topic but I'm just not getting it to work.. Now my head lights really suck because for some reason they don't even form a straight level line. I used a 10mm socket to turn the bolt on the back of the gears but nothing went up or down.. What am I doing wrong.. No one put up better pictures like they said they were going to do. I'm driving blind at night.. it's almost as if I have no head lights.
I had the same problem with the headlights poiting down. I flipped the switch inside (1-4) and the driving lights adjusted higher. Has everybody else already done this and it wasn't enough thus manually doing it at the headlight itself??

You have to crank those 10mm bolts a whole lot of times!!! Here is an awesome thread on it https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=45685
Yeah, use the 10mm ratchet. Just keep at it, it takes a hell of a lot of cranks before you start seeing it change. Safest way to go! Dunno about using a screwdriver to play with the gears, this is easy and fast.
When I adjusted mine, the 10mm worked on the pass side (with the overflow tank out of the way), but the gears were too close together to let the 10mm socket fit on the driver's side. I had to resort to using a screwdriver to turn the gear manually. It's not easy to adjust with a screwdriver, as it resists turning.
In both cases, I had to remove the high beam bulb holder to get the wires out of the way.
Make sure you're turning it the right way to raise. (duh). I put a mark (magnetized gizmo) at the point where the lights fell on a convenient surface, then lowered the interior control two notches, and adjusted until the lights returned to that mark. Now the "normal" setting is "2", not "0", and I can raise them up for poorly lit roads.
