Question About Brakes Help! Thanks

HEy guys I have a question. WHen Im driving my evo IX (20k miles) the "brake" (as in hand brake) light turns on every now and then. It stays lit up for a few seconds or sometimes jes flashes once and goes away. My question is....is this something wrong with the parking brake sensor? or is it in anyway related to my actual brakes being too worn? (since I think its due to be changedanyway). Thanks for the help

+1 For brake fluid. If your brake fluid is low, then your brakes are getting low. If thats not it check the praking brake handel, there should be some sort of a switch somewhere maybe its not working right or something in that nature.

dude 20k, check your brake pads and fluid. that will come on when your brake pads are going bad and (or) if you fluid gets low. i changed my pads at 21K so it might be time for some pads bro..............

good luck..
