They'll never find out.
You can do the same thing with a laptop, tactrix cable, and free EcuFlash download.

Back on topic here: 99% of the drivers out there don't know what an Evo is. They see the wing, the hood and automatically think you're a punk with a regular car who attached a wing and hood on there to make it look cool. They do not see any difference between your car and a Honda Civic with a ghetto body kit. The reason is because they are not car people and can't tell the difference.

Unfortunately there are a lot of jerk Evo drivers out there. I see them on the roads driving crazy and cutting people off. I'm sorry to say but they are usually 18-20 year olds with their hat on sideways or backwards, lol. The general public sees this and automatically assume that all Evo drivers are jerks. So when they see you driving down the road, even if you're driving fine, they give you the finger. Like it's already been said it depends on the area you live in. Here there are all the redneck pickup truck drivers that will rev on you.

Definitly! Just last month, I got a ticket for Neglegent Driving for taking a corner too fast.

I WAS DRIVING 25 MPH!!!!!!!!!! The cop started to give me attitude right away even though I was being polite.

***** that as*hole. I'm going to court tomorrow. We'll see what the judge says.

Let us know how it goes! If you are below the speed limit and the car is under control I can't see how they'll have anything on you.

there is lots of tuners out there. go to some one is closer to you.

i would recommend :
Sean Ivey . http://www.iveytune.com/
or :
AMS, Turbotrix, Buschur, but lots of others out there.
thise guys are long time ago started, so they have a most experience, wich is always neccesery to get a safe tune.thumbup}

+1...the dealer has not way of seeing if the ecu has been flashed, unless you tell them. The places listed above are very reputable shops and if you call they will do a great job.

I get "looks" everywhere I go as well... Just about anybody young and is obviously into cars knows what the EVO is... Very few understand how fast it is and even fewer understand how well it handles. So far I have been enjoying my rides to work. Its play time every morning and every night. I actually prefer the attention I get with this over the neg. attention I got with my Honda Tuner Cras (civic and prelude)

BTW I am 33 and I get the "man aren't you too old for that"... attitude from tons of people. My answer is NOPE... I love it, i'll be at the track while your sitting at home watching TV or playing games...

If I die its going to be while I am doing what I love..... and thats always hanging it out there...

yeah right!?!

so that means rally drivers should drive a pick up trucks, not saying evo is a rally car but just an example. In europe people would bow you for having car like that, but lets not change the subject.

It sucks, and we have to deal with it. who cares.

Then... Nothing OK Maybe between 25 and 30 mph. Inever hit the brakes, and the phucker said nothing.

I asked him what the problem was when he pulled me over and he pretty much shouted back, "YOUR DRIVING!"

What a douche.

I'll let you guys know what happens tomorrow.

Got pulled over last night. Ask if I knew why he pulled me over and I said I had no idea. We were in traffic so I knew I wasn't speeding. Cop said my exhaust wasn't factory and was way to loud.

His exact words..."I was 3 cars back and my mirrors were shaking." Now I saw the cop behind me before he pulled me over but continued driving normally just cruising because we were in traffic. So I knew when he started pulling me over it was for something totally worthless.

Gets my license and registration and takes it back to his car. Comes back and says that he's impressed that I'm 19 and have had the car for almost 8 months and haven't gotten any tickets with it and because of that is the reason he didn't give me a ticket. Gave me instead a repair order.

Still a PITA but at least nothing goes on my record and I don't have to pay a fine or something.

He started telling of all the things that he could give me a ticket for if I had them done. Apparently installing HID's on car that doesn't come with them is illegal, tinted side markers is illegal, any stickers on the window other then in the 7x7 section in the bottom left hand corner of the windshield is illegal.

I asked him well what about all the V8's and muscle cars that have aftermarket exhausts. Now what he said next I found very interesting. He told me that the way the Roush Mustang comes of the showroom floor is illegal. The sticker that says "Roush" across the top of the windshield is illegal, and its exhaust system is illegal. Said the same thing for the Lingenfelter Corvette.

I didn't feel like arguing with the guy since he wasn't going to give me a ticket.

No one gives me a second look around here. I'm sure to the uniformed it just looks like another white Japanese sedan.
