This is 95% true. SOme kids can handle fast cars, and even evo's at 18. Its just that whole maturity thing that does the trick. Either way, it makes me sad that an evo has been destroyed. One less IX for me to get my hands on.

Yay for middle aged and over-the-hill men lookin to hit up girls my age! I never hear stories about "I'm 18 and I decided the wall would be a nice place to park my Porsche" All the poor Evos... I think you should have to take a driving test before buying one or else pay a 10k premium on the car

This story demonstrates exactly why we need graduated licenses, like they have in Germany. If you want to drive an SUV or sports car- take the tests and prove you have the minimals.

I'm glad I started off driving a crappy old van.

Because my friends did a lot of really funny (and dumb) things, though there were never any accidents because of it and if I had an evo when I was 17 (There was only evo 6s, and not in the US, when I was 17) I would most likely have done a lot of those same dumb things.

a month?? are you joking?? where the hell are you from. I live in Ma and I only pay 900 a year for full blown coverage. then again I am 23 years going on 24 and have only one speeding prior when I was 17.

and to note, age most certainly makes a HUGE difference in 9 out of 10 kids. If I hade a car at the age of 17-18 that had the power of a stock Evo I no doubt would have wrecked it from doing something stupid. I bought it when I was 20 even then I was still in a growing stage as I am to date. However I dont drive the Evo more than a average of 3k a year now but still, temptation is always sturring when you have a fast car
