DSM Shootout Update

The winner of the EVO 8 class was Tom Newkirk. He is from New York. This was his first time ever to a race track. He has all of our parts on the car. He had ordered them all and installed them himself. On Friday he showed up at the shop to meet us and hang out. He asked if we had the MAS pipes and I/C pipes ready yet and when I told him "yes" he talked me into installing them for him.
He has:
BR full 3" exhaust
BR boost controller
BR boost gauge and mount
BR MAS pipe and air filter kit
BR upper i/c pipe w/1G BOV
BR mini battery kit
He was a super guy. After his first pass he came to me with the time slip and asked me, "What do all these numbers mean?" I said, "What do you mean, what numbers?" He says, "The numbers on this slip, I have never been to a track before!" I laughed in disbelief. His first pass ever was a 13.0 at 103 with a 2.4 sixty foot time. I explained he needed to drop that 60' time into the 1.8's or better and the car would go 12.5's atleast. Sure enough, his best pass was a 1.8? sixty foot and the car ran a 12.59 at 109 mph. He was one happy guy when he left the track!
Great day for everyone. The DSM's and EVO's fit right together.
I can't wait for next year.

And - thanks for throwing such a nice event again - my ONLY regret is that I have to wait a whole year to do it again
