CEL nub

besides maybe being annoying to have to see, whats the big deal with triggering CEL with HFC/testpipe?

The only issue is that if your CEL activated for some other reason, you might not know because of its permanent on status from the #2 o2 sensor.

And adding the bung extension/spacer just takes the sensor a bit further away from the exhaust stream to prevent it from coming on? Does the #2 sensor ever get fouled & need to be cleaned?

If you state does OBD2 scan inspections, you will fail immeidately.

When my code was read, it was b/c the exhaust temp. exceeded the threshold. My understanding, is by moving the o2 out of the exhaust gas via the mechanical fix, the temp is less and within the preset threshold. Keeping the ecu happy, and the CEL off.

^yes its all of about 2$ (if you own a drill) and so far Ive never thrown the code. Ive had the exhaust about a year now
