I would also like to point out, if you have an SE, have fun getting screwed at dealers. There is no option for SE on KBB, and you cant factor in things like the HIDs, lip, red stitched seats. Kinda aggravating but oh well.

Have fun with your new purchase. I wish I could get a Nissan GT-R, but then again I couldn't fathom paying $80,000 to $90,000 for a car.

seriously, you have to be smoking rocks to think you can get $28,500 for your car, I don't care if it has 5600 miles. You should have taken that offer on the spot, assuming it wasn't contingent on the fact that you buy one of their cars.

The post was made 6 months ago when the IX prices were higher.

prices don't change that dramatically in 6 months. the car was probably worth about $28,5k when it left the dealer lot upon delivery!

I don't know what the selling prices have been, but I have noticed the advertised priced of IX has changed by atleast $3-4K in the last 3 months.

As for the 28.5K price when it left the dealer lot, the IX MR had a sticker price of $37K. I look into buying a new IX in the fall of 07. The cheapest the IX MR were getting down was mid $34K's. The non SSL GSR (not the SE) were priced in the 28K's.

car sales are off at least 20-30% with as many as 700 dealers expected to go out of business over the next year. not many people have cash and credit is hard to get right now so yeah, 6 months ago would have been a good time to sell. The value of all cars and homes is plummeting right now because people simply can't get the money to pay high prices.

Whenever you go to a dealer you get bent over. The only price that matters is private party.

That being said there are plenty of idiots out there buying used EVOs from dealers at nearly new prices. There are idiots selling EVOs at bottom dollar pricing as well.

I think then 9s are holding their value better than the 8s mostly because people still want a newer less abused EVO and they thing the 9s fit that description.

The people that are really getting jacked are the EVO10 buyers. Today's Mitsubishi special is Shaft and Cake ..... N' they are fresh out of cake!
