really nice engine setup, i love how everything matches and so clean under that hood, ARC and polish everywhere its really gorgeous
Contact Derek from Rexpeed for the cf air ducts and tell him that you talked to me on my thread. The cf ducts are ausome and slightly modified they can also be functional too. If you track or do time attack trials you can cut a circle in the other duct and then run a brake cooling system from the ducts to your brakes. AMS offeres a cooling kit as well as a few other manufacturers. The install would look clean if you took your time mounting the tubes to the ducts.

good luck with the rebuild.

I know this thread has been running in the evo general section for years. It really belongs in the engine section. Would you mind if I moved it?

I would rather you keep it in the General Section because it's not all engine rebuild information. Maybe I should edit the title to read " EVO IX MR BUILD 2008/09 by Mick with other 200 Photos"? Plus a lot of people visit the General Section and I would like to help out all that I can.

I have interior and exterior detailed pictures in my thread. I don't think I have hit the one year mark in fact I started in April 2008, but it may seem like it's been going on for years . I will be doing detailed installs on some carbon fiber parts that I just recieved from Rexpeed that would not fit the engine section.

If you would like to talk off the thread hit me up with a PM.

great job on the engine and interior, BUT what i love the most is how through out this huge build, you did not alter the exterior!!
sometimes its so tempting to start gluing on eBay bodykits and giant wings and flaps that belong on Cessna airplanes
.

Thanks for the compliments.... No bodykitys for me - my last project went down that road. Driving was such a headached because I was so afraid of bottoming out the fiberglass molded kit, not to mention the expensive color change paint.

I will be slightly altering the exterior with cf accents from Rexpeed but no body kits or huge wings lol. Should turn out well because IMO cf looks great on a graphite grey evo.

CF sure is nice... i was referring to the fiberglass glue-ons that people put on their Evos, thinking its a 1984 Datsun that needs to look like a christmas tree
