hand brake light coming on while driving!!????

hand brake light coming on while driving!!????

i noticed that sometimes when i'm driving, i think when i get on her just a bit sometimes, sometimes......my hand brake light comes on, and then goes off, this has happened a number of times, has this happened to anyone else? i have a evo ix with tbe, no cat, mbc, drop in filter, and a tune from turbo trix. thanks in advance for info!

Check your brake fluid resovoir. The handbrake light also comes on when you are low on brake fluid. You probably need to top it off.

Possibly low fluid. If so, check your break pads. It's a possibility your pads are low and with the brakes piston fully extended, the fluid may be low.

hmm.. I need brake pads badly but I haven't seen my brake light on while driving. I need to start paying attention to it.

Brake pad sensor.. you need new pads. Same thing happened to me.

Drove around the whole day today with frequent braking, no light. I guess my brake pads aren't that bad yet.
