honestly whats the point?? jus something that a cop is going to see that u dont have a muffler and pull u over.. also its not going to make it that much louder or faster.. jus keep it on till u can afford an exhaust...

Its there for a reason. I would leave it till you can afford an exhaust.

Just record some really loud exhaust and play it in your stereo while driving. If what you want is noise that will make you happy. I cant believe this post

An exhaust is definitely worth the wait.

I drove to the store without any exhaust on when I was installing my Megan one. Looked funny, and was pretty loud. I love the way the whole TBE sounds now, especially with the TP. Just wait it out, and have that big smile on your face when you start it up for the first time.

i cant believe i like to hear my power as opposed to not. i have the right to do whatever i want to my car. i never said i wanted extreamly loud exhaust.

i understand get exhaust, i will.. but to some of us who cant afford it right away, i was just asking if taking it off made any difference, a simple yes or no would have done the trick.

i really appriciate the helpful advice everyone

considering the stock muffler has that flap in the muffler, i was thinking logically, remove the resistance = less resistance!
but ofcourse i get flamed for thinking outside the box

p.s. to those of you who did not flame me, and gave me your advice, i appriciate it. i just dont understand why people have to go out of their way to say something so useless.

I wouldn't take the muffler off of the stock exhaust. Not only are you going to get flagged by any cop for riding without one, but the difference will be minimal. Wait to get a cat-back (or if sometime down the line you can) a full exhaust system, down-pipe test pipe and all. I went with Greddy out of preference on other cars i own, what were the choices you were looking at buying? Good luck with it, once you get it on, you will thank yourself for waiting.
