meth facts...

okay i looked around a lot and talked to a few people and i just keep getting different opinions and answers from every person. so im looking for just the facts here. please, JUST FACTS..

what i want to know is what can go wrong with meth? im not talking like it stops spraying or something, cause the failsafe should take care of that. but im talking about can it hurt the motor, turbo, sensors, anything else? im talking about meth installed correctly and tuned for.

also, are there any long term effects of using meth? later on down the line will it cause something to happen?

im looking for some info on this. like i said im looking for facts. i wanna know if meth is the way to go

flammable, shortens motor's life if not set up properly, corrosive to aluminum, etc.

anything that adds power shortens life.
I guess the guys who've been running it for 30000+ miles daily are in trouble.

meth has been linked to having a negative effect on the idle control valve causing erratic idle problems; not everyone has encountered this. I personallly haven't, atleast not yet. other then that, there isn't much to worry about with a properly setup system and good tune.

#1-- well its a known fact that to much alcohol in fuel leads to piston wear, even though meth injection is not a direct fuel source, this still poses the posibility of this happening.
#2--- fail safe is not %100. if your in high load high RPM and your meth stops, sure the fail safe will stop boost but there is still that 0.1-0.3 seconds of time before you car decreases to the safe limits, so your running way lean for that 0.1 seconds which can damage your car.
#3--- plenty of evidence that the pumps still "spill" out big drops of meth when the pump shuts off. This can cause the obvious fireballs you see in videos, this can cause knocksum in your car decreasing performance due to timing retard.
#4---yes methonal is corrosive to aluminum, dont matter if it doesn't come into contact to the metal long enough, it still comes in contact for that minute time before combustion begins. ( pour acid on your hand for 0.01 second and wash it off, then pour it on 0.01 second, wash it off a million times and you tell me if that acid is not damaging your skin)

most performance shops can get it for you any one who sells race fuel as well, you can always go crazy and buy a 55 gallon drum throw it in your back yard and hope your house doesnt burn down...cause if a single cinder lands on that drum....BOOM!

1 person i know has very very very minor corrosion in his intake manifold, everyone else does nothing but praise it

i will personally be running a kit very soon

If a 10% chance of a problem causes you concern, then don't do it.

If I had the money right now, I'd buy an Aquamist kit in a heartbeat.
