+1 They have tons of miles on that car now, and it has gone 10.1 @ 137 on the stock block. Thats quite a bit of power

Nevermind, you said the length of time in your post. I just don't read very well.

Went over 30k before I built a stroker

I'm sure there are some but head bolts are so cheap...it's like trying to make 400whp on a stock fuel pump...is it worth saving 90 bucks to risk it on a 30k car?

I agree, I would do head bolts, and maybe rod bolts, at a minimum to be safe at high power. And change your fluids often!!

so stock can handle frequent revs to 8000? i guess stiffer springs would be needed up top to minimize valve float

There's really no proof that the stock hardware is junk. There's really no proof that the ARPs are any better. In fact I heard there were two levels of ARPs and the cheap $99 units are the lower grade.

My DD evo 568/470 ft lb stock bottom end 3 yrs ago.........

Both stock intake, stock head. AEM engine management..........

Since then we have tuned maybe 70+ evos with stock bottom end exceeding 500 hp. Alot on flashes too.

When we started going over 500 on the stock bottom end back then it was not commonplace at all, so funny to see how common it is now.

Sean
When I get an EVO, you guys will def do the tune on it, I have heard nothing but great things about you guys

Epic 5 year later thread bump buddy.

Not sure if you took into account your altitude when you reformatted the correction numbers cause if you didn't those numbers are quite different than what you posted.
