How much is my Evo worth? Mega merge.
I paid $18.00 for my Buschur Built '03 Evo. The car currently has a BR 2.1L Shortblock, BR stage 3 head w/ BF272 cams. Stock ported intake and throttle body, Exedy triple clutch, 780 injectors and double pumper, BR Race front mount intercooler & piping, FP Red turbo and AEM EMS. The set up has around 4000 miles on.

An evo is worth what someone is willing to pay. The desparity of pricing is quite interesting, though.
I have an evo 9 MR with 16k on it! Graphite Grey, heated garage kept, second owner. How much could i get for this if i would be willing to sit on her for awhile! I dont really wanna sell but than again every time i see a GT-R i want her GONE! Dont hate even tho were all mitsu guys here ya gotta respect what they did with the GT-R!

Yeah you're correct it's all preference I bought this car to race it it's not my daily driver so I got what I wanted a built car and I saved myself time and money. I'll have my fun trying different mod's and setups to make it faster and when I get tired of the car I'll sell it.
It's all preference. I would not want the car you bought. It would suit my wants and needs. I'd pay less for it than a stock, non-abused IX. However, someone that is into having a race car would see it as gold. It's all in perception.

i just like the versatility of the GT-R over the EVO. Because of the V-6. The EVO still wins in most handling comparisons i have read altho the 2.0l engine limits it to one event pretty much in my mind. The EVO cant be a FAST drag car and be good on the auto-x track in my mind. Where i belive the GT-R could be just because of the low end power the v-6 gives you.
Used to work for them before I joined the military. Good deals can sometimes be found but many times cars can be over priced. Managers can demo the cars up to a month at a time and once a manager took a one year old low mileage sti and crashed it showing off in the parking lot. Did 1500 in damage, had to replace axles etc and they fixed it and tacked on the extra $$$ to the price of the car. If you don't see small print that says XXX below book value under the price of the car, that was the general rule of thumb the vehicle was overpriced.
Just for funsies, after you get the GT-R and make it a FAST drag car, I'll then meet you at an auto-x event with my evo. I have $500 on my car. Deal? :-)
Interesting point. I did notice, while the entire car looked brand new, there were a couple parts (radiator brackets that appeared old and rusted) that looked out of place on the car. I had a "weird" feeling while checking it out.
Still.. Had it been $5k less, I may have went back with a co-signer. LOL
