i posted the "salvaged" comment later (assuming you are talking bout my car). she's all fixed now. i'll post pics when i get home tonight. i keep forgetting.

i now own a 2006 IX MR with 57k miles for a grand total of $15k. good deal, if you ask me. especially since it's the year, model, and even exact color i ever wanted, if i were to own an evo. then again, i know the guy that wrecked the car.. so i knew EXACTLY what was wrong with the car when i bought it. most salvaged-titled cars are a bit of a crap shoot 'cause they all say "theft recovery". LOL you never really know what's right/wrong with the car.
i just kinda lucked out.

**edit for pictures. before:

and after, though i now have OEM IX lights again:

how about a 36k mile 2006 MR with no interior, a roll bar, and Robispec stage I suspension? Flash only no engine mods. Mostly street and some track use? whats the market for track cars these days?

How about an 05 MR, Apex Silver, stock, 36.5k miles? I replaced the clutch about 8500 miles ago, replaced the front pads and rear pads and rotors about four days ago, and also put new front tires on it (rears only have about 7k miles).

Alright guys I need some help. I just test drove an 03 GSR black clean title, 36,000 miles, IX turbo, pro tuned, aftermarket rims, act clutch, some other bolt-ons. In very nice condition, only thing is it was hit in the back drivers side and repaired. The current owner does not know how badly it was damaged, but a semi-trained eye could tell it was painted. 5th gear did grind slghtly when running it hard, it had a very slight virbration in the steering wheel at highway speed also, and will need tires before to long enough.

It is low milage and nice condition but the accedient worries me a little. Wondering what people think the price should be...

lots of cars are damaged and repaired (scroll up). it happens. sucks that you can tell by looking. that means you probably need to repaint to make it look decent.
as for the grind in 5th.... who drives hard into 5th? :P i don't know enough about evo transmissions to guess if that's a big issue or not. usually, when one gear grinds, it's a synchro and you will have a problem with one of the other gears, like 3rd. no issue there?
if the tires are going bad, that could very well be the vibration you feel. on my car, i had the same problem. it turned out to be a bad wheel bearing on the driver's-side front.

it sounds like a bit of a project. it was driven hard. if you don't mind giving it some TLC and $$$, then i say get it if you want it. pretty much all used cars need $$$ put into them, so....

what title? clear or salvage?

Either way I wouldn't pay more than 11-12k for it, since you can get IX with 60-80k miles for $16k these days

I think he may be quoting a trade in price. I was just quoted 23k for my IX with 20k miles. In today's market mileage is not a significant factor in altering prices. I wouldn't give more than 16k for it. The ACT clutch makes me nervous, you really never make back any money for the mods you put into it, and it was damaged. Remember that TAX/TITLE/REG adds another 1000$ or more to the price.
