Prolly gave you 3k more trade in and tacked it onto the price of the car you were buying thats why it seemed so much higher.

you can look up a kelley blue book price on the internet. All you need is mileage and options and a zip code whicj i gues you could use the area code it is located in. Just google kelley blue book.

Kelley Blue Book - No SSL package, excellent condition - $21,585
Nada Value - No SSL Package, excellent condition - $20,100

Like I said, no options, just a plain GSR Evo 9 with 76,000 miles. Hope this helps.

KBB is useless unless you're trying to inflate the price of your car to get more money for it. NADA is what it's actually worth, and is what lenders use to determine how much money to loan you. NADA is also used by dealers to determine trade in value.

Around here (in MA) everyone is doing Manheim. It is painful. For example I was offered 14K for my LGT in February now its 10.5K. The dealers here completely ignore KBB and they are starting to ignore Galves too.

lol i'd almost forgotten about manheim. we used to use that one too. dealers use whatever they can to make the most money for themselves.

Yeah Manheim is everything these days. The market is so bad all they care about is how much they can unload the cars for. Evo's are sort of rare here and the trade ins tend to end up at local auction, going from major dealers to small used car dealers. I watch that happen to a nice WW VIII last year. Went to check it out and yup I had already driven it at a different dealer.

Point is they seem to be assuming they are going secondary market from the get go.

Yup and mainly it's auction prices which really drives down the trade in price. Better off selling privately.

Any suggestions for an 06 GSR with 35K miles. No mods other than tires, pads and rotors. I took it to one track day when I first had it and nothing since then. It was my daily driver for the most part.
