Can you please tell us why you would ever think what type of gas you use will have anything to do with failures of electronics?

Stock ignition, NGK BR8ES gapped to .019, no issues. An ignition amplifier would allow more gap for me, but everything works fine as-is.

I'm curious what made you so concerned that you'd make this thread.

Yes, it gets quite cold out here, but because of that, they tend to give us E-70 more than elsewhere to help with cold starts. I haven't had a problem cranking yet, and I started in February when our winter is the worst. When it's really cold, and the car has been sitting a while, it does take a few cranks, but most of the time it fires up on the first try.

Only extra mod for me was larger injectors - 880s for stock turbo and 1000s for Green - along with my Walbro fuel pump, but everything else is stock.

Could it possibly be because my plugs wires are screwed? I've noticed once when i changed my plugs that the metal tube inside of the plug wires that connects to the top of the spark plug stays on when i take it off. Could this be the cause? I never have misfires once its started.

Do a quick swap of the stockers with another Evo just as a quick test.
