tail light problems, possible loose conection

Alright so my tail light burned out and i changed it, everything was working perfect, lights on, break lights, everything. I was just on my way home and my friend called me and was like yo your tail light is out. So im thinking, wtf i literally just fixed it and it was working 20 minutes ago. As i was driving home i realized that my boost gauge was white instead of red. I have it wired so its red when i turn my head lights on and white when they are off. I remember that when the taillight was working my gauge was red like it was supposed to be, then when the tail light was off it was white. What do you guys think. Is something loose, bad ground, bad tail light? i don't know. Thanks again

Check for moisture in your tail light.
