Finally did something on the Evo. It's nice that I have it to the point that it doesn't need excessive maintenance.
I went back to a full sized battery. All the random electrical gremlins are now gone. Mostly because the old battery was tired but also because the mini battery just had trouble keeping up.
That meant ordering new tie down hardware and a trickle charger for a standard battery.
All is well again. Shoulda done this a long time ago.
I've been meaning to do a trunk relocation and get a normal sized battery. I've been through so many PC680s over the years. Being able to do things without having to actually turn the car on would be great.

I kept mine in front because the weight of the wiring didn't seem worth it to me. That's just for my situation, of course.
Yes, it's nice not worrying about a tender being on 24/7.... Running the electrical without the car being on, etc. The ease is far worth a bit of weight.
I do miss the extra bit of room for the UICP, though.
I also backed out of relocating the batt to the trunk once i held the thick cable required. I did relocate my batt under the seat and used 6ga jumper cables. doubled the pc680 but I only race with one
lol dont feel bad feel glad that you enjoy your car and didn't go overboard like I did.
I keep the car as OEM as possible, which is why I've been around 430-450whp. Any more would require getting fancy with a fuel pump. I'm good for now.
The car has been dead nuts solid, once I finished. Even the engine bay looks stock (it mostly is).

I like that idea. If I went back to a mini battery, I'd definitely be okay with it being boxed in, under the seat.
