Just buy evo viii and swap for aftermarket cf interior trim better than fake cf trim. the IX seat looks better but I'd say evo viii seats are little better in terms of holding the drivers since the side support aren't leather.

well since i have the ssl package evo viii .. i like my interior over the normal 8 !! but i have my evo up for sale if u want to look at it

Remember. The evolution was designed for rally. So the interior is what it is.

 

heres how i see it.
evo 9 has ACD and MIVEC
evo 8 does not.
wheels are different, and so is the front bumper

interior has its slight differences as 9 is a bit nicer than 8's...lol thats about it.

i kind of find this all rediculous, as i chose my car for the first reasons, performance.

i believe the 2005 evo 8 has ACD. however, MIVEC is evo 9 exclusive

 

i really love my SE IX. I have the suede insert recaros. Love those seats. Also the carbon dash pieces.

 

I gotta say I don't like the carbon fiber dash the IX's come with. Too glossy / reflective. I like the low gloss that rexpeed has.

 

IX is an all around better buy IMO then an VIII. better turbo, better front bumper cover, as well as interior

 

Theres hardly a difference between the two. For most people acd doesn't make much of a noticeable difference. The seats in the ix are nicer.

Why not just get a decent 8, sell the seats and buy some nice aftermarket seats. I bet you'd still end up ahead and it'd be more comfortable and look better.
