thanks Kracka and scheides, you guys are just so helpful. I'm gonna get a manual BC. Cuz why would i wannna turn the boost down??

Just an aside, i posted a question about BC's last week, got a few responses, then a moderator closed the thread, i didn't even get to thank the guys for their input. I really couldn't figure out why he would do this, as if the question was too dumb to warrant any more input. I've read this whole thread and know that this mod thinks it's biased, but from a noob perspective all i see is two dudes that have not only compiled heaps of good info, but are willing to take the time to answer and follow up all our questions and problems. I like what u said, yeah sure its biased, biased in favour of what the OP's have found that works.

If we keep on bumping this thread then its better than being stickied anyway.

cheers
mc

Dude, got to say thank you for making this thread, its given me some ideas. For my I'm focusing on getting the car 1000% as far as maintence, then going from there, although I have taken a few liberties as far as improving the driving experiance, such as shifter bushings, SS, drop in filter just to make it run just that much better.

Thanks again!

Not if you do the work yourself! There's lots of vfaq's and very well laid-out how-to's on most of the mods we've listed. They're simple bolt-on affairs and if you aren't afraid to get a little dirty you can save some serious dough in doing so and get all the benefits of making your car faster while getting the extra twinkle in your eye that you (and your friends) did it yourself!

That's not really a mod, but it is what you should put in if you ever have to take the head off. Lots of people running tons of power and boost (35psi) on the stock headstuds in the stock longblock.

I actually disagree with you. That debate has taken place in numerous threads already though so lets not bring it here

Does the short shifter sit lower or at stock position?

Its adjustable. On one setting it sits a bit higher than stock, on the other setting it sits a bit lower. I personally have mine on the lower/shorter setting and love it; this is how I setup all that I help install.
