I helped a local install his eBay short-shifter last week and we ran into the same issue. What we did to resolve the problem was drilled out the two bolt holes of the new pivot cup a bit larger so it could accommodate the larger ball. After doing that and greasing everything up well, it shifts smooth as silk and he loves it!

Also to add, the price of the eBay short-shifter has increased from $29 shipped to a crazy whopping $46 shipped Keep in mind, that does include the shifter base bushings too!

All those little things...

Pretty sweet compilation of "small" parts. Now that I think about it, I spend a little here and there on stuff I don't need or want for that matter, I should buy a piggy bank (in the form of an evo, like one of those die cast models)

I made a few changed/updates to the first post. I'm going to try and get better about keeping the first two posts updated with current info.

Just installed the underhood shifter bushings, pita to get the stock ones out but overall simple install. Also threw on some t-bolt clamps for the LICP since I've been blowing them off left and right, you guys should add those to the list. Thanks for the great thread.

Hey S2kracka, what about the Beatrush solid drive shaft bushings?! They take a lot of the slop and play out of the driveshaft giving more direct power output to the rear diff. and keep the drifshaft aligned better. If I remember correctly they are cheap ($35ish).

They're listed in post #2. I have them and love them They're actually $68 though, but $35 would be nice!
