That area near the rear subframe is no joke. I wish I paid more close attention to it when I bought the car in 2014. It was not too bad then, so I simply prepped it (or thought I did) and applied POR15 over it. Drove it a winter or two before realizing the rust kept spreading. I think this should be stickied for those looking to buy an used Evo, as any wrenching under the car is an absolute nightmare. I was lucky to been able to loosen/remove the rear toe and camber bolts without fuss but from the pics I see here, they are fused solid lol. How are alignments even possible....o_0
