I think they all are - it's just easy to see on the silver.

i got under my car the other day and just glanced...what do you know...i could tell it's under there but i didnt want to tear my car apart to see how much. I am really not that worried about it, I cant see it, but if you guys start getting it fixed I might try to also....otherwise....Oh well.... it would be different if i could see it.

This picture could support my theory that the factory assembled the parts together before the paint was dry and that is why it is rusting. Look at the uneven shrivelled look of the paint on the left hand side...

I would like to see some of you folks with the photo proof report it to NHTSA. This is probably a genuine recall issue since the rust involves the weakening of the crash structure/bumper beam.

Is it possible to still see the rust without removing the bumper cover with a bright light maybe?

Went to the dealer today and the regional manager was there. Told me that they would probably end up sending me to a bodyshop to get this fixed. Anyway I/we checked all the evos and guess what.... they were all rusting.. only evo color that wasn't there was blue..... however i would bet that all colors (including blue) are rusting.. notice where the rust has been dripping on the concrete.
this red one had the most rust... notice how the water from the morning dew is evident....

I agree. You guys need to report it to the NHTSA. This is absolutley unacceptable.

Or it wasn't cured in the oven before assembly.

I hope do a correct fix and not a patch work that will rust again before the 7 years rust warranty.

For reference the front bumper beam attachment points on my car does not have a similar problem.

(Note: The front beam is painted black, not body color like the rear beam.)
