I agree, it's harder to tell the difference on the newer models but i'm new to the mitsu world and have despised lancers since day 1. Doesn't help that my X has the non-SSS small wing, yuck!

Ok here is what you got to do.....

Take the back wing off. Get a roof rack and carry one of those torpedo storage things on the top. Then put a sticker on it that says "baby on board." Then put a Bra on it.

And don't forget to paint the IC black. Maybe put some cardboard over the hood vent.

Go with a Lancer hood, large Mitsubishi sunshade sticker on the windshield, no Evo badging, and the smallest fake exhaust you can find for out the back. Sentras will be wanting to run you.

Yes, I know that I am always running into people who know nothing about evo's and would never expect it to pull a 15 in the quarter.

No, if you know what an evo is, you are almost always skeptical about what is under the hood

I have a rs (wingless) no gauges in my car. Not even a boost gauge. Stock rims, stock suspension. I do have an exhaust but its not that loud. I really get no attention from anyone. Cops or otherwise and I have a 11sec car right now.

i think you can make it a sleeper to the high end sports cars/people who know nothing about cars, but to the average car enthusiast not really

You can def make it a sleeper..... Go wingless, get some steel wheels, take your badges off... You could even lay another black mesh infront of the inclr so its hard to see and maybe get a hood with no vent... That would be pretty fresh but a lot of work and money....Good luck any how..

The RS is definitely a sleeper. With subtle wheels and a somewhat quiet exhaust, 95% of motorists don't think twice about it.

I read stories about Evo's drivers being overly bothered by Police, Street Racers, Ricers, Hondas, etc. I never realy get bothered by anyone. I would also add that the IX front end is sleaker and makes the FMIC a little less obvoius.

If I had a non-RS Evo, it would not have a wing.

For those who knows what an Evo is, they'll know no matter if you take off the rear wing or whatever.

But for those who doesn't care about the import world, it'll be a sleeper as soon as you take off the wing.
