I don't see a point making an evo look like sleeper. Evos are fast and great handling cars right off the showroom floor and with that in mind it deserves to have an agressive look. Wouldn't change a thing about them!

here's a sleeper... all black... black rims... tinted... no wing... no evo on trunk... but a ES on bottom right of trunk in that chrome they use on the ES one's. silencer and the go blitz bov that you can control how loud or quiet it is and turn it all the way to the quiet part. or just through some hub caps on there

No, if you know what an evo is, you are almost always skeptical about what is under the hood
I sure hope you run better than a 15 second 1/4.

i did not mean to intentionally make my car a sleeper, i just put all mods under the hood, nothing on the exterior not even a shorty antennae, just leave out all of that and noone will expect crazy amounts of power coming from the stock looking evo.

I understand the sleeper mentality and I like it. All go and no show. There's honor in that.

Like already mentioned most people know what an evo is and expect it to be fast, but how fast is what it comes down to.
You could definitely have a very stock looking setup that runs 12's easily and even 11's which on the street covers most of the cars you will run into but look like a car with just an exhaust on it.

i think the idea of sleepers is awesome. theres nothing like being spanked by a car that you couldnt imagine is fast at all. but for an evo i think it can easily be a sleeper but why? id rather have some a**hole see it with a wing and think he can beat the rice box pos and you pull right past him and he's speechless..

luckily for me, people around here are kinda DEEDEEDEE so they all think i have a lancer thats riced out with a wing. POS, lame SH*T, useless blah blah so hey i'm er sorta sleeper here without me even trying.
After they go for a ride..... unfortunately i'm no longer a sleeper then =/ and no longer a POS

p.s. and they think my viper is a dodge inteprid soooo this kinda tells ya
the plus about all this... when they get smoked by a inteprid or a lancer and they cant believe it

In CenTex, especially with so many military guys around, everyone knows what an EVO is. Ignorance is showed when you talk to the American muscle guys about a 4-banger putting down 450whp and the first thing out of their mouth is, "I didn't know NOS was safe for a 4-cylinder!" I'm sporting the all black exterior, gloss black stock VIII wheels, no wing, and the black FMIC. The only give away is once the cams start loping and I even had a guy tell me that he knew I had a turbo on the car as soon as I crunk it up. I just said, "Oh really?" and drove away.

I'm wingless and got a roof rack and I'm loving it. No one trying to race me.
