Who's Gonna Keep Their EVO Forever?
I bought my Evo 8 (new) in April of 2004 (built date Oct/03). Although I’ve exercise the thought about selling it because of lack of use (it’s a garage queen) I think I will keep it for a very long, long time; maybe forever. Its now 5 years old with 17k miles.
Even if you drive her once a month, you'll still appriciate having her in your garage.
That's your baby
I'll still keep mine longer, but when it's definitely past its warranty period, I'll probably start modding it very heavily and maybe even turn it into a track-only car since I'd probably have purchased another car by then.
i don't post much since becoming a member here in 05, mostly i read and just read
im into this fantastic, super handling, super fast EVO for over four years now, before the EVO i went thru cars every 6-12 months, i guess non of them were are fun as the EVO.
Two more years and im gonna turn the BIG 40.
im saying to myself that no other car can replace my EVO in fun, so im gonna just keep her forever.
who's gonna keep her forever?
03 original owners chime in, your in this longer

im keepin mine forever, i own the car for christ sake.. if a newer car comes out that i drool over, ill still keep my baby... we've had too many great and rough times togeather.. Also, my dad is 44 and he just got an evoX GSR with full boltons and coilovers... he usually gets a new car every year and he said he's definately holding onto this one for awhile! Funnest car he's ever had,
I had an evo and sadly due to furthering my education I had to sell her. On the other hand I picked up a bone stock 1g tsi awd with low low miles and for some reason I am more in love with that car and I will never let it go.
You sir are a victim of dsm-evo performance equal at a cheaper cost bug. This is why it's better to come from dsm's into evo's. Then you really appreciate what you're getting. Although i still kept the dsm. And will always keep the evo.
