If financially I can keep her, I'll hang on to her forever. She really is a perfect car.

Everyone seems to be saying the same thing. Let me spice up the topic... When your evo's engine eventually gives way or transmission, would you be willing to buy brand new parts just to keep it running forever ?

that would be the time for me to modify

FYI, most of the parts of my 1988 sigma are new replacement (fan motor, a/c evaporator, fuel tank and pump, brake rotors, brake master cylinder, power steering mechanism and rack, air suspension compressor) except for the engine and auto tranny, ABS pump, A/C compressor which are still stock oem with no repairs done to it

I plan on keeping mine forever... The way I see it, I don't need the money and I have plenty of garage space for it. Also, I'll never really get what I put into it back.

I think I'd sell the Prelude, blood, and maybe do some strange for a little change before I sell my EVO. This is the first car that I've truly been happy with. I'm going to ride it till the wheels fall off...then get a set of new ones...

I bought my VIII in Sept. '03 and would NEVER sell it for anything. I would replace every nut and bolt on the car before I would let her go. I have way too much money into it not to mention the sentimental value. I could never recoup the money, plus I never get tired of her. I also like being faster then 99% of cars on the road, doesn't mean that I won't buy and tune other toys. +1 on a new paint job. I wouldn't trade her for a IX, X, XI, GTR, 911T, M5 nothing can compare to me. She is like a first born child, as she is my first car that I have modded. Even if someone else is faster, its not my baby's fault its mine for not driving fast enough My S13 is next, Evo for Road Race, S13 for Drifting!

You are not alone... I am 35 and this will definitely be my final "Toy". It is everything I ever wanted and then some.

I'll keep mine for as long as I am able to drive it. If something breaks or goes out it will be either replaced or fixed.

I'm keeping it forever. I haven't driven another car in its league.
