I had no electrical issues...my moms TDI Jetta on the other hand has a bunch. I am talking about how they have about 9 revisions to their DV because some genius thought it would be a good idea to have it housed inside the turbo not thinking about how it gets hot and would cause the diaphram to rip...I went the 3 DVs before the dealer decided to not replace it under warranty. I told them if I had to pay for it outta pocket I was gonan sell the car. And sure enough I don't have a GTI anymore. THere were other things on top of that.

Like the hardening process on the cam was ****ty and caused the HPFP to not work properly because it was driven off a lobe on the cam. So my brand new car had its motor out with less then 10kmiles on it.

Or how when it was out the casting brackets that they use to hoist the engine snapped and my brand new cars brand new pos engine fell off the engine hoist because of it.

It went in to maintainence one time then it just seem to fall apart around me.

lol Yeah, I'm pretty Jaded. Like I said it was the only car I bought brand new. It was a gift to myself for finishing up my tour down in Guantanamo Bay and ended up being a huge waste of money.

I'd love to keep it, but I need to get rid of some toys. I think I'm going to have to let mine go

I love my evo 8 MR. Its just so much fun driving. And of course it doesn't hurt to upset a few exotic car drivers either

i'm with wreckless on this one. i love the evo and no issues and my 97 celica 200k miles and no issues. I dont even understand how an issue cant happen. I repainted the car and got it a sound system for never giving me an issue for 200k miles. I'll never sell either of these cars.

On the other hand my friend got a 335i and was loving it etc and then he got engine malfunction errors on the dash! damn, he has been to bmw like 10 times trying to get his wastegate fixed etc. way too much drama. if anything get a lexus for dd or a 1989 mercedes 190e. my friends mom has 371k miles with just regular maintenance and it feels new.

I'll never let my Evo go, I just got my wife to say yes to getting an Evo x, I'll never let go of the IX, no other car has ever made me as happy with power handling and not to mention stock ecu can handle up to 700 HP lol

I'm thinking about selling it right now. I actually have it posted and in the shopping having everything fixed and ready to go. I'm searching around for a car to replace her and I don't know if I can do it. The handle, the power, the sex, the everything about the evo just screams one of the best cars ever made. I don't know if i can pull the trigger or not. Unfortunately, i'm on the lay off train for july so i have to reduce my payments and if i can't get a bank to refinance or my bank to do it. she's likely to go but i will undoubtedly regret it and come running back someday. That's the only good news.
