One reason they may not be selling is because its ebay. I personally wouldnt pay 39k for something on the internet, I would drive down to E.I.
But thats just me

The focal point, to me, is EI's eBay claim in the auction at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1871969401 of "Clear title." At best, at this moment, EI posseses nothing more than a bill of sale for the car depicted in that eBay ad. EI, most emphatically, does not have possession of that car in the picture at this moment. If their attempt to "Federalize" it fails, they MUST either export it to some other country or crush it. They CANNOT sell and deliver it to some other entity within the US.
So, how much am I bid on an EI dream?
Who's gonna put their @ss in the fire? You? At least EI is going where no LAN Lover has gone B4, and they've got kohones as big as bowling b@lls... What have you got? Sun Maid? These things take time, and people like you are not making it any easier for people like us.
Ya know, I was interested when you were posting the facts. Now I'm just bored.
Please stop flaming EI.
Period.

Ebay can be a minefield for both sellers and buyers. I've sold a motorcycle and a car and was fortunate to deal with good people for both transactions.
An Ebay auction on a car that won't be available for 10 to 12 weeks isn't such a hot idea. Ebay is a churn 'em and burn 'em type thing. People want to use Ebay for items that are ready to be bought or sold now, not a few months away. I think EI would reach more potential US buyers, and garner an even higher price, if the Evo in question was clean and waxed up for the pictures, and legally ready for delivery within a much shorter time frame.

Dunno. Could just be EI's market test. U know, whip up some momentum. They are taking a way big risk going public about their biz like thiz. Gives folks the notion that EI's got the inside track. What do you think?
Boo, there is risk here I think, both for EI and a potential customer for reasons that need not be repeated or reposted. I think EI would sell the damn things like hotcakes from word of mouth advertising they'd receive when their first customers get the cars, ready to be insured and registered. I would suspect that these owners would not be able to stop talking to everyone and anyone they know over phone and email about how great the car is, how fast it goes, etc.
Ebay certainly can whip up intial interest, no doubt about it, but word of mouth advertising sustains many smaller businesses and could for EI as well.

And what, exactly, would you expect to find at their hole-in-the-wall office in Stamford, FL? It's not as if they can display federalized EVO VIIs, given that there are none, so far. I find the eBay "advertisements" from EI to be very misleading, and verging on fraud.

You are so negative about EVERYTHING, it makes me wonder why you care so much about a company you are not even dealing with. Your intimate knowledge with the NHTSA site also leads makes me curious as to whether or not you dont have some tie to the RI business. So please, could you 'enlighten me'?
P.S. The big huge title issue that you bring up is a box you must fill out when selling a car on Ebay. Its a required field. Notice how it says other color interior and 4cyl engine? They are all generic choices that you make from the menu.
That reminds me. We are not in a locked room here. IF Los Federales can walk the walk, they are gonna talk the talk, too. EI must be on the up and up for thrusting themselves into the public eye like this. This is particularly true of the current fiscal environment. Sensational media feeds on corrupt startup activity. My point is this...Pud and Drudge are makin' mad money by wading in controversy. No laws broken. Free speech reigns. EI is providing a product and a service for their clients. They are not hiding in...
This forum, right here, the banner, Ebay, their site...it's all proof (to me, anyway) that they are a legitimate operation, not some goons in windbreakers hanging out behind a roped-off gas station on King's Highway. If I didn't like RHD Evo5s so much, I'd be their next customer...

just to bid...
