why the hell would mistu sell a weight reduced evo? hell anyone can reduce their evo's weight. the only new thing coming out next year is that funky looking ''ralliart'' lancer. the evo here is the only taste of evolution we will ever get. those wacky japs think we are not worthy of the true evo and will never be. but that's just my guess.

I hav not read all the way through this thread...but the evo rs does not have brembos....hence the ability to have steel wheels. There is a big chunk on money right there. That would take a good to 2-3 grand off the price. Since retail prices through mits on a front caliper for the evo is 1400 bucks.

Well unless you plan on running NO brakes, that's a false statement since you'd have to spend most of that $2k-3k on another set of brakes to replace the Brembos you're removing.

If the MR/RS/whatever edition is a higher performance model, that would dictate it would either keep the Brembos or go with something even higher-performing (and therefore at least as expensive) so your post makes little sense in reality.

Brembos are optional with the RS in Japan. If you do not get Brembos then you get the 16 inch lightweight steelies.

the RS in japan is not a higher performance car than the gsr.....you get pretty much regular plain jane brakes on the car unless you ask for them. The rs is just a bare boned evo over seas...you all think it some high performance version of the car....HA! HA!

maybe you should learn to read a little better..no one here said the RS was a quote "higher performance car", we all know that it's basically a barebone car without the fancy ayc and such.

i think you read the Evo MR part wrong. just giving you a heads up so you wont be a further ******* in evom thx and have a nice day

hope this doesnt come off too hard on you cause im not trying to be an *******, it's annoying when other people are all "i know more than you"
