i bought a brand new evo ix it had 32 miles on it before it got rear ended and i was in a back-cast for about 5 months. yes they fixed the car. ****ty luck. but i did get an insurance check for 18grand.

 

Wow! Now that would have killed me! Seems like the first week you bought it. My father was actually rear-ended as well in a brand new toyota 4-runner two weeks after he bought it. People don't feel shame enough for their driving mistakes anymore.

 

Sorry i have to vent but, Guys its been 13 days and the insurance companies are being extremely irresponsible. Although it is quiet obvious who is at fault.....the person who crashed into everyone...... in the back...., his insurance company wants to wait and see what the other drivers have to say. Unfortunately, those idiots are on vacation right now and cannot be reached. This could take months! Its quiet obvious that I ended up with the absolute worst people to crash with! I may have to turn to my own insurance company....who really is not doing much anyway....pay them 1000 dollar deductible and get it fixed myself. Sadly, they claim that if I go that rout I may not get my money back. In either case, Does anyone know of a reputable body shop in the San Diego Area that would both fix the damage caused by the accident and install a JDM bumper ? I'm tired of just letting my evo just sit in the garage. Thanks !

Just stick with it. You'll get your car fixed and it will get paid for by one of the other people's insurance companies. DO NOT go through your own insurance.

Also, make sure to ask the other insurance company to provide a quote for diminished value. They should be sending you a small sum of money in addition to repairing the vehicle. You can read all about it here:

I'm sorry to hear about the rear end man. usually i take local when traffic hour happens over there. Usually traffic comes and goes. I think usually peeps in cali duno how to merge. main issue lol. so congested =/
