I drive the Evo because it excites the hell out of me.

The only thing I regret are the years I spent trying to please other people.

Drive the car for what THE CAR IS, not for what you think it makes you look like in someone else's eyes - That's what Mustangs are for. (lol) jk

Good Luck in any event.
That was very deep and cause for long thought, many thanks.

I love M3's so much. After I was in my accident with my first Evo, I was in the market for an M3. But here I am, with another Evo.

I feel the same way about the M3 as I do s2000's (I was looking at buying an s2000 too.) They're REALLY fun cars. Cars I'd love to someday own, but I can't see myself with one as my primary car.

Somebody on this forum said something like this, not a direct quote: s2000's are like the hot blonde at the bar. Great for a crazy, wild, fun night out. A lot of excitment, and fun to experience on occasion. But the Evo is like you wife. You're in love with it. You'll always come home to it because it's what makes to truely happy (even though it can be a bit needy ).

Although I think that certainly pertains to s2000's a bit more, because M3's are much easier to live with. I know s2000's have nothing to do with this thread, I'm just using it as an example.

I've driven alot of cars. Some faster than my Evo, and cars that may even handle a bit better. But I've never driven a car that makes me as happy. Now I've never driven anything exotic. I'm sure someting like a F430 Scuderia would make me just as happy, probably happier than an Evo, haha... but you get the point

Point is, do what makes you happy.

not this quote, but you seem very impressed with the M5, gotta say for the money a new E63 is a hundred times better looking, faster, more technological, and all around better car, m5 looks like it has a cheap bodykit on it

+1 You clearly feel the Evo is a more enjoyable car. It's your money, it should make you happy.

why do people equate "making it" or "older" with owning a bmw? that means when you are 60+, you HAVE to drive a cadillac. the biggest one they have. and drive 30mph. i know i'll still have my bigass wing evo. cause I love it. and i'm mid 30s also. go with what you like.

it really is impossible for us to really help you. it seems to me you are having an internal battle of which identity you want to choose, or portray to people. your "subconscious" younger thrill seeking side that always wants to pursue what really makes YOU happy. and your "conscious" image of yourself which is the facade you choose to put up, what you feel you are obligated or more honored for doing. Since you say your are in your mid 30's it makes sense to me that you are feeling these "conscious" emotions. but what you really want to pursue is that "unconscious" desire of what really pleases you (evo). Reason i believe we cant really help is because we do not know that "conscious image" you have. We dont know the people you associate with and the job you hold. Those are the things that influence you to make those decisions. we all go through similar choices everyday but it really is futile to try to get an answer to these types of questions from other people since they are really the ones that build up that exterior image you have (be "mature" or w/e it may be) I have debated the same thing/things many times. what things am i going to choose to be "mature" or live up to society's expectation on and what things am i not going to. weight the benefits and costs... if you will. Like the person above said, hes 55 and lives life for what he wants to and doesnt care what others think. thats all you really have to do is know yourself and i think you'll quickly come to your answer.

Then after all of that i thank god im just a young kid and i can easily pursue the car i want and not have to worry about these things. in fact i feel it almost suits me lol

I think the 9 is by far a better handling, more fun overall ride to have.

Unless its at least a Danin Stg3 M3 I'll keep the Evo. I've driven a Stg3 Danin M3, they're quick little sons of *****es off the line with the launch control and the paddle shifts but my Evos is quicker now for a hell of a lot cheaper so no thanks.
