Good news bad news... This is what i did... I already searched the boards, and tried to figure out if there was another method of doing this...

I marked the spot on a wall setting 0... lowered it to level 2 and popped the hood to return the headlights to the setting marked for zero...

I am using the 10mm method, and for some reason it does not let me move pass a certain point, it moves up, then drops back down to the 2 setting... It moves up a half a inch, then falls back to the setting it was in...

How do i make the height adjustment premanent, and how do i turn the bolt pass enough from falling back to the orginial setting... I dedicated about 15 minutes to one side and no movement other than stock... This mod is something that i will really appreciate because wearing glassing an all, my headlights point a lil to low to my liking at least...

Thanks guys...

It does move slowly up...so slowly you can barely tell but mine did not "pop back" down like yours. Maybe someone else can shed some light on that. Are you sure you're hitting the correct 10mm nut?

Mine took maybe 20 little cranks to move back up to where my position 0 marks were. Again I didn't see it move back down. It was just very slow and a little tricky to tell how much it had moved. Spotting the exact top of the beam was easier for me on a garage door that was closer to the front of the car.

When I first tried it, I saw the same behavior on one side. Basically, that sucker is very stiff. The first full rotation or so, if I let go it'd just pop back. Nervously, I kept cranking further and eventually it popped free and started truly adjusting like it should.

I just did this yesterday. All I can say is . I used the 10mm method and had no issues whatsoever. I did move the reservoir out of the way on the passenger side. It only took a second and made it much simpler to crank on that side. I recommend this mod to anyone! It's easy and FREE.

I'm going to try this tonight. I'm going to try the 10mm method and see what happens.

I adjusted the headlights using a 10mm socket and it was quite easy. I moved the adjuster inside the car down to 3 and then adjusted the lights back up to where I wanted them.

However, I now notice a dark area between my low and high beams where it looks like they are not overlapping enough. Does anyone else notice this? I don't remember seeing it before I adjusted the lights. Will the high beams need to be adjusted to compensate for the adjusted low beams?

Thanks.

No, because your high beams moves with your low beams. Meaning, when you adjust your low beams, your high beams goes with it unless your gears stripped then it will be out of alignment.

There was an explanation on one of these threads outlining one method that adjusts the beams up then he somehow readjusted ONLY the high beams down. Mine seem fine with high and low and I don't see what you're describing (I'll certainly look again). I didn't go as far as you since I set it to position 2 not 3 before adjusting up. This leaves me 2 in each direction and believe me I have seen white out already where down lower was better.

bamaevo,

I posted a few days ago in this thread on how to adjust the high beams independently of the low beams. Check it out...

I have a question for you guys that did the mod. I did mine a while back and my friends kept telling me that my driver side headlight was brighter so I lowered it. Now when I stand far in front of my car, the headlights are even, but when I shine my lights on my garage, the left side is really low, and when I drive on the street, the right side shine really good and the left side doesnt. Does anyone here have the same problem? are one of your headlights brighter (not really brighter, but seems to point higher than the other)?
