Exclamation HID problem

so after my factory HID bulbs went out i replaced the factory D2S bulbs with some 6000k bulbs from xenonlink.com...just recently the driver side bulb would flicker like a strobe light then turn off...

it happens while im driving but if i turn the lights off and turn them back on it seems to reset them but it just happens again...the driver side bulb also seems to heat up almost instantly compared to the passenger bulb where it takes a few seconds or so...

is it just the bulbs? or should i be looking into something else?

It's probably your ballast that's going bad. I'd swap the ballasts and see if the same problems follow to your other bulb.

It sounds like a ballast is going out. Not sure if they are repairable, but I'd look around to try and find a used one.

I had that same issue with a flickering HID on my trunk. Turns out a ballast wasn't properly connected, but it had to be replaced anyways.

Probably ballast because mine was flickering before before it went out.

i would think the bulbs try to get your money back and ask for new ones. Then go on from there

That's funny my driver side started doing that about a couple of weeks ago, I just haven't had time to take it all apart. But it seems that it happens when the bulb gets warm, flickers than goes off.

Swap bulbs from left to right and see if problem persists. If that is the case it most likely your ballast.
