oil light flicker while driving.

Hello,
noob here , recently I notice my oil light flicker every here and there while driving at certain speed.
I'm pretty new at this problem so I don't know where is the oil pressure sender and the pressure switch is located on the evo 8 engine bay . I tried to google it , but
come up short .
So can any of you point out the location of the oil pressure sender and the pressure switch on a picture of the engine bay.

thanks......

The oil pressure sender is near the oil filter housing. Are you low on oil? What RPM/condition is this happening under?

The oil is on a good level . the light comes on at any speed , though does not lit up
rapidly , once maybe a block or two down the road.

This happened to me right before I spun a bearing and then needed a new motor.

My light used to flicker at idle, then become steady until I tapped the gas, an easy fix if it's the pressure sensor. It's on the back of the block, under the intake mani.

Shoot, sorry for telling you the sensor was near the oil filter, I was thinking of my Defi gauge sender

I think I found the oil pressure sender, is the oil pressure suppose to go all they
way into the engine?.because their is alot of gap between the sender and the cylinder block.
it locate just above the transfer case, but
is so cramp in there how do I get to it with out dropping the tc,

are you using 10w-30??? they say you can use 5w-30 for the winter time in cold climates to help starting but last winter I tried it and was getting a flicker at idle some times, I switched back and never had a problem

actually you have a IX so it would be on the filter housing regardless. VIII's have the oil pressure sensor on the back of the block on the drivers side under the intake manifold. IX'S use that source for an external oil feed to the mivec solenoid.

if the light comes on when you are driving at all its not the weight oil you used. The light comes on when the oil pressure is really really low. I could see the weight of oil changing weather it comes on at idle or not but once you build some rpm and you still see it I would be freaked out.

In you case I would hope for a bad sensor.

^^ yea after I wrote that I was thinking the same thing. the light comes on when you get below 4 psi, my idle is usually 12 psi at 3500 rpm you should be over 75 psi. is it coming on at high rpms??????
