Popping out of gear...WTF
Only happens from a dead stop in first gear. Pretty consistently...at least 5 times a day. When it happens I'll be able to go about 3 feet then it violently kicks back to the neutral position. Not only is it insanely frustrating but it's dangerous. I recently had a works stage 2 tranny put in and have been waiting for a call back for a while. thought I'd give the forums a try to see if I can gather any information about this.

make sure the two ball headed bolts under the drivers side motor mount are in, and stock.
when I used the lighter sprung ball headed bolts for a special gear changer and then returned to the standard shifter (while still using the special bolts ) the car would drop out of gear once in awhile under load.
if that is not your situation, I would think a shifter linkage adjustment might be in order. thinking the linkage is not getting fully into gear. (in first anyway)

Very easy to get into gear...Just keeps popping out of first.
How bad is it for my car if I start in 2nd gear until this problem is fixed? This would include slight uphill starts.
If it matters, I have a ACT street clutch/flywheel.
