how much more expensive is it to wire the back for a stereo?

 

Wire what part of the back. The standard 6.5" holes behind the rear seats are already wired.

can you shed light on pwr lock install? did you transplant from a lancer, including the stock pwr locks?

And those gold stock wheels, did you paint? with what, looks damn nice!

isnt just the power windows... its more behind it, first find a wreck lancer
take all the guts out the doors.
1:window motor with regulator
2:door locks
3:mirrors
4:all wiring harness from inside the car to the door
5:door panels and everythign else that comes with it.

second: the back door aren`t wire for anything that means there isn`t a hole to pass wires onto the back door, so back door have to be remove for install..
drill a hole on the inside of the door to pass wires. also drill hole insie the door jam
takes some work..
install your doors back in your car..
take all the door gut os the RS door and start replacing with all the goddies
the mirrors are a ***** to take a part since the doner car was silver i wanted to keep my black mirrors. so i took the gut of the mirrors.
take the kick panel from both side of the car and floow the wires that go to the doors disconect that plaug and plug in your new harness from the doner car

also you will need the switch for the mirrors. its plug and play. take the little panel and install the switch.

ill post pics later of all the work i did.. it took me 4 hours. but this isn`t my first power door into a car that didn`t have that..so it was a brezze

The reason I've asked was that I got me aftermarket "Black Widow" pwr door lock actuators but they don't fit! It requires hard wire pull/push compared to evo's soft wire mechanism. Now I'm stuck with em, even got aftermarket remotes!

Your wheels look nice! I'm guessing you sanded/prime/painted w/ gold can paint...

Real quick simple question here, and I do apologize if this question has already been answered... I see a number of people saying they wouldn't want an RS because it doesn't have AC. Doesn't the RS come with A/C as a standard item? That is what a salesperson told me. I drove an RS w/ A/C, so what he said made sense, but I cannot fully trust everything he had to say, because he also told me that the MR is going to have a V6 in it, LOL. Up until he said that, I thought he knew what he was talking about. He also told me it was available in colors other than just red and white, but he later asked another salesperson and then said "oh I guess you're right about the colors."

My RS came with AC.

 

Nice power locks/windows install, gabesir I also like the gold wheels. A friend of mine got a white STI a while back and actually had the dealership take a set of gold wheels off a rally blue car and put them on his car for him. Since then I have been a big fan of the white car / gold wheel package.

hey guys when is the '05 RS coming? Is it going to have the ACD and aluminum Roof and side beams, but i heard that it won't come with the intercooler spray to put the ACD button there? I think thats all the additions i've heard about. And whats the MSRP going to be?

 

I believe all '05s come with ACD, which means no intercooler spray on any of them. Only the MR gets alu roof and side beams. MSRP for the RS/GSR would remain the same, I think, with the MR clocking in under $35K (per Mitsu).

 

last post is wrong about aluminum roof. RS and MR have it. VIII does not.

 

No, the RS gets the aluminum roof also, plus a lighter trunk lid, and all '05s come with aluminum side impact beams.

 

I think the only thing I'd really miss on the RS would be the ABS. No loss at the track, but annoying in emergency situations. Otherwise, the RS would be a mortal lock instead of the MR for me.
