I just bought a new RS last week (July 27). I love it. And yeah I bought it for the front LSD and $10,000.00 cheaper than and MR. I paid 25,998. I had a gauge pod, brake ducts and hyper cables added. The front lSD is amazing it turns into corners like a rear wheel drive car with oversteer. I also put in a radio and speakers. It did come with A/C. It is white and I get alot of complements.

i have a white RSi got it since may.. and the first thing i did was the radio ..
your wrong the car is full pre wired for everything... i`m also doing a full install on power wondows and mirrors and lock in my car i have everythign from a wrecked RALLIART . i took the whole guts of the door and yes all the wires are there....

also all the speackers are wired... same with the antena.
also got my RS badge on it too~

 

Nice. Where'd you get the RS badge? Did you get the ralliart keyless entry too? If so, then i'm going to head out to some junkyards next week.

no i didn`t get the keyless entry .. and on the power doors it takes more then know how to take the door panel out. will take a lot of wiring and change of the wire pinout. but i`m gonna do it. i have done it in some off my cars..,.. anyways the RS badge is a tade letters. if you like `em i can try to get you some.

Also we have the same exact JVC radio installed. I love it had it 5 days. I put 6 1/2 inch Alpines in the doors and 6 1/2 inch Infinity's in the back

I just bought the Evo RS and also test drove the VIII, but was unable to tell the difference in the interior sound.
Did anyone notice difference or should I say a significant difference? If so then what was your experience?

Where in the VIII is the sound deadening material? What kind of matrial is it? Where and how can I get sound deadening done to my RS? Thanks

Also are all FOUR speakers pre-wired for speakers?

How much would it cost to get power locks? Is the car wired for that? How much effort?

How about power mirrors and windows - how much cost? Is the car wired for that? How much effort?

i got one of the first evo rs at the beginning of july from motorworld in wilkes barre pa. its very fun...i've driven the regular evo and the weight difference and lsd are noticable, plus it has more braces and bars than a middle school playground. im starting the process of modding it within the next week. if anyone knows a good tuning shop in the baltimore/dc area pls respond, as of now im leaning towards import sports in md. guy told me it wasnt coming out for a few months, then called me two hours later and told me one came in on the truck. unfortunatly it did come with ac, but no radio or truck lining etc. or any power mechanisms. guess they figured it would be tough to market to joe eclipse with no ac.

 

I believe it has 6 speakers. I just noticed what looked like speaker grills on the inside of the side mirror mount. Looks like tweeters could be wired in there.

 

What all is the RS pre-wired for? I hear speakers then someone said also for power locks etc... please confirm...

 

All I gotta say is $8000 less than an MR, or whatever the number is, buys a helluva lot of $$$ you save for go-fast mods. RS all the way.

I bet it will be close to a $10,000 difference...I'm just glad to see them expand thier lineup, I never expected them to offer three distinct versions of the Evo stateside. I hope Subaru follows suit. Did anyone catch that blurb about the cheaper scooby, spec-c I think?

the car was almost prewired.. the back door don`t have speakers so the isn`t any wiring running to the back door so holes had to be made to passs all the wiring.. but its done... the windows work awesome... in deed

 

are those pics from the rs? are those power windows and locks? i keep hearing that the rs doesn't have them.
