That's probably the weight with a/c whereas the intitial figure for the '04 was without...even though they all came with it, just a guess.

 

I really feel ya man! . I just recently purchased a white RS, and I completely love it. My only grip is the instrumentation color and placement of the speedo and tach. Oh. and the weak clutch, other than that, it is great.

The first thing I did was put a radio and speakers in her. Next will be snow tires and a Compustar Alarm system with added electric locks, remote start. I'll put my own dynomat material in the trunk when I do the sounds.

Eventually, I'll put in rollcage, after all the power goodies.

I tried to install pwr locks in my RS with Black Widow brand but did'nt fit! It's meant for manual locks w/ rods but RS has wires...

Any RS owners have success w/ other brand?

Has anybody added a remote keyless entry to their RS? I can live without power locks and windows, but turning a key to open the door all the time...I dunno. If it's not standard I will definately be installing that.

 

You need power locks for that, buck-o. There are reports of people who've installed the keyless entry with their power lock swap. I've never actually spoken to one of those people though.

if you could find a used rs how much would you expect to pay? my freind drove mine and realy wants one but cant find any.

 

I have them installed, i just got the regulators, motors, door panels, lock brain, and wiring harnesses out of another EVO. Next week the alarm and keyless entry gets installed (professionallly).

 

Is it me or does this guy not belong in this thread.. No evo. No RS. Mercedes racing a lightning?

 

It's you moron...I raced the L in my '04 RS that I sold a couple weeks ago. That had been my second Evo, the first being an '03 VIII. Am I qualified now to opine in your precious forum
