hey
I just got my front speakers installed, it's super easy. The front window cranks have a small retaining clip that holds them on. You can see it, it's gold colored. You just have to have a really small hook tool (cotter pin removal tool) and yank it out. They make a specialty tool, as well, but good luck finding it!

Going to get my CD player installed next week. Great to know that the car has stereo wiring and speakers(?) The AC works if you turn it all the way up. Concerned about the active diff change? Subaru has the manually controlled one. I never her anything about either so not too worried. Think the car has everything it needs already. More light weight parts are added. I agree that 100 lbs is not that much. Why also does the RS show slower MPH in the quarter mile? Would not a lighter car post a better0- 60 and 1/4 mile?
Voiding a warranty for autocross, etc is a joke. I previousy bought a WRX and it did come with membership to SCCA. Just mainly glad that the body stlye is not changed.

I just got a small system put in, an alpine HU and some Boston coaxs all the way around. As far as comparing 1/4 times it's difficult to do from car to car because of the large variance in output of these evo's.

So does the RS come with speakers? or just wiring from speaker location to head unit?

It doesn't come with speakers and I didn't see any wiring... I'll ask the installer next time I'm at the shop if there was any wiring.

I'm pretty sure there's no wiring -- I didn't see anything poking around the rear deck. The radio antenna is wired and goes back to the dash.

Their is no wiring in the RS its only for the antenna, you will have to install all the wiring your self, the speaker cut out is their you just have to cut the material covering it and for the doors the cut out is their just have to place the speakers in.

Funny, my RS does have the full wiring harness!

RS is alwsome but I do miss my radio so in goes HU, amps, sub-box and comps.

To make up the weight, taking out the spare and transfer battery to trunk.

It's fully wired-just add head unit, speakers. etc. All of the head unit wires are conveniently attached to the blank din panel in the dash. All speaker locations are prewired and ready to go. Rear deck speaker wires are taped down under the grilles.

RS owners,

Have you seen any decent aftermarket rear spoilers? Thinking of adding a carbon fiber wing for function and look, something a little smaller than stock.

I haven't seen any that I would put on...one of the reasons I got an RS was to avoid the F&F crowd and perception...especially from police.
