I bet the RS in NYC was the red one that was on the floor of the NY Auto Show. Saw it a week ago Saturday, it looked nice but they had it all locked up.

 

So how much longer do we have till it arives in dealers?

 

In all this MR talk I lost track of the RS delivery dates. Any News?

hey man, I talked to a couple of dealers today, it sounds like they are super confused about delivery dates. Anyone's guess at when they are coming, as far as I can tell.....but I'm sure someone knows better.

 

I heard fall, 2004. Am I correct that the RS will not have a wing (CF or other), and that it essentially is a stripped and lightened current model? Does that imply we do not really need the CF wing on our current EVOs?

The wing provides downforce at higher speeds and supposedly the car doesnt feel as planted comming out of high speed corners without it. What I want to know is, can the wing still be put on the rs as an option from the factory??? I know it doesnt come on it stock here.

 

Well, there is an event at the Huntington Beach Mitsu Dealership in 2 weeks to unveil their first RS delivery. So I am guessing that the first round of releases will begin shortly.

I'll begin checking junkyards shortly after that for crashed RS's....so I can have front lsd. :P

did this thread's title remind anyone else of the R-O-U-S's? (rodents of unusual size and strength? i don't believe they exist. AHHHHHHHH!)

 

My car is showing a "by May 16" delivery date. It has landed at the docks, cleared customs, and is now on rail transit. The dealer is able to get transit info from Mitsu and they checked last Friday to confirm the deliver by date. I will let you guys know when I hear more.

I will have lots of pics up on my personal cardomain site. I got a bunch of shots of it once it came down off the truck.

I looked the car over and the only place I see an "RS" label is on the floor mats. This car is the ultimate sleeper. No spoiler is just plain bad *** on this car. The brace in the trunk by the spare tire is kinda unique also.

For all you guys who have aquired an Evo RS please list the price and terms of you deal. I think a thread with this kind of information would be very helpfull to prevent the dealer mark ups that are going on again

At Huntington Beach Mitsubishi they are planning on 2k markups since socalevo.net is going to be having an Evo RS party there. Aperently they think the Evo community is just going to take it since there so limited

With a markup the whole point of the RS seems kind of lost.
