Lancer Evolution RS Thread [MEGA MERGE]
BUMP,
I need some good advice on what I should do. If anyone knows of a way to get an Evo RS for somewhere close to Invoice in Southern Cali please let me know.
I am putting half down so getting a good deal shouldn't be so hard, right?

if youre putting that much down, then the opposite is true. They wont make as much on finance charges. I put that much down too on an 03. They werent that happy. Youre just gonna have to wait it out a little bit. Wanna see markup, wait til the MR comes out!
Sup, their is the deal... i drive an evo8 RS and it is great not completly striped but almost, i have the non-adjustable carbon fiber wing in the back and the a/c in their and thats it.....its amazing cuz if you look into it technically it is more toooooooooo what was listed above... their are so more light waight parts than you can imagine like the diffirential support beem is maid of light waight aluminium instead of steel and the support arms for the axels and diffirential arms are made light waight, you will not get recaro seats their the regular lancer crap seats, you can order the car by the way with the a/c. and if you think about it its better to modify for racing........
RS for sticker price
I got one for invoice. Mitsu, had to get it from another dealer. long story. ask for, If you know who has one in the same dealer network they can invoice it then drive you down to get it (never pay markup)

RS can be built on Mitsu Website / A/C is standard

Link below, may be old news but it is info from the horses mouth, or some orffice.

The RS has A/C standard. There is no such thing as the Urban Jungle package.
There's also an error in the website spec listing: the RS doesn't come with power windows/locks.

I believe Mitsubishi started thinking that no one except real racers would buy the RS if it didn't have A/C.
They probably figured it would be cheaper to put in A/C than having to do warranty work on race cars, being that cars with A/C would attract more wannabes instead of actual racers.
I don't know. Just my theory

I was frankly a little disappointed with the weight number of the RS which is only about 150 lbs lighter than a regular EVO with sunroof and wing. And I also wished they had offered the rumored Urban Jungle Package. I can live without music, but how much weight can power windows and door locks add? Well, at least the power door locks...
