Raptord's responses perfectly state the availability of evo's in Canada at this point
One thing I haven't seen anyone touch on is the ability to bring a car in for racing or strictly for show. If you plan to have a track-only car or a show-only car (Evo or otherwise), there is no restriction on bringing it to Canada. The trick is that is has to be trailored on any public motorways. But this does allow you to have something cool like a VI or VII here for race or show purposes.
There was a place a few years ago around Milton, ON (if i remember correctly) that had two Evo VII's. While, I saw them occassionally drive it on the road, they were trying to sell them. They wanted extortionate amounts of money and didn't want to tell people that you couldn't register the car as a road car. They didn't know I knew nearly every regulation when I talked to them about it :P At one point they tried to part out and sell one of the VII's in parts, but again, thought that the parts were made of gold (they wanted $2k just for the front seats alone). At any rate, haven't seen those VII's around anymore.

Check the Canadian forum.
You can bring any car from anywhere as long as its 15 yrs or older (JDM included, RHD).
You can also import any car that is sold in the US into Canada (with some very minor restrictions). I have a IX in Canada.
Evo X is the first Evo in production and sold in Canada.
