I recently added this piece onto my car along with a Vibrant MAF adapter and 5"height K&N filter. I'm running into fitment issues with the filter hitting the acd reservour and was wondering what other K&N filter height are other members running on this setup ? Any input or advice would be appreciated

I'm running the perrin filter with my Samco hose. It JUST clears the ACD. Not sure how tall it is but probably more then 5".

I cut about 1" off the MAF end of my samco hose. I'm running a Vibrant adapter along with an Amsoil filter. Go ahead and cut off as much as you need so long as you leave enough of the round semi-flared end to connect to your MAF.

No offense, but why? I used to be a fan of K&N air filters, but the results speak for themselves:

After reading Kracka's thread I'm leaning toward's a Perrin . I would get the Amsoil , but the only reasonable size for my setup is the 6" tall filter featured in his test. Which happens to be the same height as my K&N in the garage that won't clear my acd and hits the mounting brackets for the stock airbox
