Sitting at AMS Tuning!

I'm getting my car tuned at AMS today and the suspense is killing me! I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but could I possibly break 300 HP?

I don't have many mods, but hey, you guys would know better than I would!

Walbro 255 fuel pump
Injen intake w/ upper and lower Intercooler piping.
JGT turbo back exhaust.

Thanks!

Yes it is possible. There is not necessarily a need for an MBC. Boost can be controlled through the ecu. I think you will make 300 if they turn the boost up.

and its a tiny bit harder for an 03 to hit 300...
not having some sort of Boost Controller is gonna definetly mean you wont be hitting 300 today...

The mods are Perrin dp, ix DV, MBC, Apexi open eliment filter, and a custom exhaust to a Greddy Evo 2 muffler. This was the only graph I ended up getting that day, but we ended up with the numbers in my signature. The temperatures that day were very hot, and Kasey did the final re-tune with only three pulls ( all I could afford that day lol). I;m pretty sure the tune can be smoothed out...but I am no expert. Kasey did the best he could with the time and money! I ran an 8.332 shortly after, but I feel like the car has more, that its my problem with the time, or maybe the stock clutch?

I think you can do it. Especially with the LICP.

Wouldn't be a bad idea, but talk to the guys at AMS. I guarantee they will know what to do better than anyone in here!

Would I need to get an aftermarket BOV if I purchase a MBC?

No, but the stock plastic one will def start to leak past a certain PSI. Just get a IX DV and be done with it. AMS may have them in stock too for ya

Nope, not needed, but if they have a BOV from a IX laying around the shop you might as well buy that from them too since the stock plastic VIII one likes to leak. If you're getting tuned though definitely get at least a MBC!

No but you will want to start thinking about getting a stock IX diverter valve when you get back home. The plastic VIII piece doesn't hold boost above stock very well.
